Loving Charlotte is a small handcrafted pet accessory brand based in Chicago and created by me, Julia Starr McCloud. The business began after I rescued my dog Charlotte from PAWS Chicago. After everything she had been through, I wanted her to have accessories that felt beautiful, feminine, and truly special — but I couldn’t quite find what I was looking for. So I started creating them myself.

I’ve always loved historical fashion, ornate details, soft romantic colors, and the dreamy elegance of 17th and 18th century design (yes, I’m a huge Bridgerton fan). Over time, I combined that inspiration with my love for animals and art to create Loving Charlotte — a brand centered around handcrafted pieces that feel whimsical, luxurious, and full of personality.

Every item is personally handmade by me with an enormous amount of care and attention to detail. Even our logo is deeply personal — it was inspired by Charlotte’s actual paw pads and their unique marbled coloring. Building this brand has allowed me to combine everything I love most: artistry, storytelling, design, and celebrating the pets who make our lives so much brighter.
